Smögen 8 Year Old is a heavily peated Swedish single malt from the distillery on Sweden's west coast. It was distilled in the spring of 2012 from heavily peated Optic barley and matured for eight years in seven first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and one ex-sherry hogshead.
It was bottled in October 2020 at a cask strength of 59.8%. The distillery was founded in 2009 by Pär Caldenby and uses malt imported from Scotland to make an Islay-style whisky. Its first release came in 2014.
