Smoke Wagon Uncut The Younger is the barrel strength version of Nevada H&C Distilling Co.'s Straight Bourbon, blended and bottled in Las Vegas by co-founder Aaron Chepenik. This 750ml batch is 57.25% ABV (114.5 proof), uncut and non-chill-filtered.
It is made mostly from four to five year old bourbon from MGP's high rye mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley.
The nose opens with cinnamon and baking spice, molasses, dark fruit and a fruity licorice note, with hazelnut, coffee and soft oak behind. The palate is full and viscous, with shortbread, black tea, honey, then hay, mint and clover. The finish is long and warming, with white pepper, rye spice and caramel.
