Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Single Barrel Batch #145a Nevada Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 57.4%)

A Nevada straight bourbon from Smoke Wagon, bottled as an unfiltered single barrel at 57.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is Batch #145a from 2022 and is sold uncut, with no water added. The brand blends vintages of its high rye mash bill, aiming for a high proof bourbon that tastes its best neat. Older vintages bring a creamy mouthfeel with caramel and honey, while younger ones add delicate fruit and temper the tannins. Caramel, rye grain, cinnamon, orange rind and ginger mark the nose. The palate offers sweet caramel, raspberry, chocolate covered cherries, leather and oak, then apple pie, rye spice and walnut. The finish turns darker, with leather and cigar.
