A straight rye whiskey aged for 5 years and bottled at barrel proof, 132 proof, made with heirloom blue corn. The blue corn adds a nutty, slightly sweet layer to the rye.
It is bottled straight from the barrel without dilution, uncut and non-chill filtered.
The nose brings charred oak, toasted grain, molasses and dried herbs. On the palate come black pepper, roasted blue corn, dark chocolate and burnt caramel. The finish is long, warming and spicy, with hints of vanilla and tobacco.
