Smokeye Hill Heirloom Blue Corn Barrel Proof is a straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle. Its mash bill combines rye with heirloom blue corn, yellow corn and malted barley, and a touch of the distillery's barrel proof bourbon is added to the rye. It was bottled at barrel proof and left unfiltered. The nose opens with dried apricot, cinnamon and toasted oak. The palate moves to vanilla, honey and black tea, and the whiskey finishes with a lasting, rugged warmth.
