Smokeye Hill Straight Bourbon is a Colorado craft bourbon aged a minimum of five years, in a 75cl bottle at 46.5% (93 proof). It is non-chill filtered.
The mash bill is four grain: heirloom blue corn, yellow corn, rye and malted barley. The whiskey was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then matured in Colorado Springs in new American white oak barrels of various sizes and char levels.
The nose is caramelised brown sugar, vanilla, tobacco and oak. The palate is smooth, with vanilla, caramel and honeysuckle, and hints of dark fruit, cacao, spice and oak. The finish is smooth and long, with lingering vanilla and nougat.
