This is Trutina Melody, a Speyside single malt from the Speyside Distillery, which closed in May 2025. Trutina is Latin for balance. It was matured in bourbon barrels and bottled in 2022 at 46%, with an outturn of 1,500 bottles in 70cl size. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers honey, vanilla, ripe apples and a hint of citrus. The palate is soft, with malt, caramel, light fruit and fine oak spice, leading to a medium-length, round finish.
