Spey Trutina Single Malt Limited Release (46%)

This is a limited release of Spey Trutina single malt, bottled at 46% in an outturn of 18,000 bottles. It was matured solely in American bourbon casks, and is non-chill-filtered with no added caramel colour. Trutina is Latin for honest and pure, a nod to the plain distillery character the bottling aims to show. Spey is the brand of Harvey's of Edinburgh, which owns the Speyside Distillery near Kingussie. The nose offers spice, green grapes, apples and sweet vanilla. The palate brings white chocolate and sweets, set against a crisp, tart note.
