Speyburn 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
It spent 18 years maturing in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak ex-sherry casks, which bring together the sweetness of one and the richness of the other. Speyburn distillery was founded in 1897.
The nose offers honeyed malt, toffee, dried fruit, vanilla and a little oak spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, with caramel, dark chocolate, citrus peel and warm spice. The finish is long and slightly nutty, with sweet oak and lingering fruit.
