Speyside 2013 11 Years Signatory Vintage Small Batch (70cl, 48.2%)

This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from the Small Batch series by Signatory Vintage. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024 at 48.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a first fill Bolgheri hogshead. Bolgheri is a wine town in Tuscany, Italy, so the whisky has spent its years in a cask that held Italian wine. The nose shows red fruit, vanilla, tannins, red wine, oak and dried green herbs. On the palate come red fruit and tannins with pepper, wood and herbs. The finish is medium in length, fairly dry and refreshing.
