First-fill Oloroso sherry butt
This is a 21-year-old single malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery, distilled on 11 July 2005 and selected by Andrew Symington for Signatory Vintage's Symington's Choice range. It was matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso sherry butt #108 and bottled on 14 July 2026. The single cask produced 635 bottles, each in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 59.4% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration. The Oloroso maturation is described as bringing dark fruits, raisins and orange peel, with dark chocolate, toasted nuts, treacle and warming baking spice, alongside polished oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
