This is the second release in Springbank's five-part sherry series, a 10 year old single malt from Campbeltown, released in November 2023. It spent six years in bourbon barrels, followed by four years in Palo Cortado sherry hogsheads made from Spanish oak.
The nose has Parma violets, buttercream icing and peaches, with a touch of cola and grated ginger. The palate is full-bodied, with gentle peat smoke, red velvet cake, strawberry tips and icing sugar. The finish is waxy, with orange peel and more peat smoke.
