A Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, this 10 year old is part of the 2023 Sherry Wood Series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 76% ABV, and 10,200 bottles were produced.
Six years in bourbon casks were followed by four years in fresh Palo Cortado sherry casks.
The nose offers red fruit sweetness, strawberry jam, nougat and caramelised nuts, with a sharper note of cranberry juice. The palate brings red fruits, dried cranberries, cola sweets and white pepper, with macadamia nuts and orange oil. The finish is rather long, with cold coffee, caramel sweets and berries.
