Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a twelve-year-old single malt from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colour, at 55.5% ABV. The strength moves between batches, generally within 55 to 57%.
The nose is dense, with ripe fruit, candied citrus, caramel and spice, plus gentle smoke and salt. The palate is oily, with honey, dried fruit, spice and a little peat. The finish is long and warm, with spice, soft smoke and subtle salinity.
