Springbank – 2011 14 Year Old Fresh Sherry Cask Duty Paid Sample Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 57.9%)

This is a 14-year-old Springbank from Campbeltown, distilled in July 2011 and bottled in 2025 as a Cadenhead's Duty Paid Sample, a style also known as a Cage Bottling. It is a cask-strength single malt at 57.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whole maturation took place in a fresh sherry cask, which gave a deep amber colour. It is described as medium-peated and distilled two and a half times, with oily hessian, sea brine and gentle smoke alongside dark fruit, spice and oak tannins from first-fill sherry wood.
