Springbank 5 Year Old 100 Proof is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 100 Proof, which is 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The barley is malted on site and the whisky is lightly peated. It matured mainly, and sometimes entirely, in bourbon casks.
Golden in colour, it has a nose of malted cereals, lemon, vanilla, bright fruit, sea salt and a little peat smoke. The palate is powerful and dense, with citrus, malt, spice, bourbon and discreet smoke, leading to a long, saline, warming finish.
