Springbank 5 Years 100 Proof is the first bottling in Springbank's 100 Proof series, a limited release from Campbeltown. It was matured for five years in bourbon barrels and bottled at cask strength, 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is maritime, followed by green apple, orange, gorse, lemon and light smokiness. The palate has a generous measure of peat smoke balanced by sweet tropical fruit, guava, pineapple and honey, with sunflower seeds and a salty touch. The finish is medium in length, with peat, oak and gooseberry.
