This is a single malt Scotch whisky from St. Magdalene, distilled in 1970 and matured for 23 years before being bottled in 1994 at cask strength, 58.1% ABV. It was bottled in the Rare Malts Selection. The distillery closed in 1983. The nose is sweet and malty with hints of oak. The palate is complex, with stone fruits, crushed stones and black tea, and the high strength gives it a firm, pleasant weight. The finish is long and fine, balancing sweet and oaky notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
