St Magdalene – 1982

This is a single malt from St Magdalene, a Lowland distillery, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2001 by Gordon & MacPhail. Gordon & MacPhail was founded in 1895 and has been bottling single malts for 120 years. By the 1950s it held the largest range of bottled malts in the world. The family-run company has also bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world, and became a distiller itself when it bought Benromach in 1993.
