St. Magdalene – (Linlithgow) 40 Year Old 1982 Private Collection

St. Magdalene 40 Year Old 1982 is a Lowland single malt from the St. Magdalene distillery in Linlithgow, which closed in 1983. It was distilled on 1st July 1982 and spent forty years in a single refill American hogshead before Gordon & MacPhail bottled it on 6th February 2023. It forms part of the Private Collection, within the Lost Distilleries Recollection Series #2. Just 150 hand-blown crystal decanters were filled from the cask.
