Stagg Batch 25B is a 2025 release of the barrel proof bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 126.9 proof (63.45% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is Buffalo Trace's low rye Mash Bill #1, and the bourbon spent roughly eight to nine years in new charred American oak. The name honours George T. Stagg, who bought the O.F.C. Distillery, now Buffalo Trace.
It pours a deep mahogany. The nose is vanilla cream, black cherry and brown sugar with a hint of aged leather. The palate is dense and layered, with dark caramel, roasted pecan, cocoa nib, cigar box oak and tobacco. The finish is very long and warming, with charred oak, candied bacon and black pepper.
