Stagg Batch 25C is the Winter 2025 release of Buffalo Trace's barrel proof bourbon, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 125.6 proof (62.8%). It is made from Buffalo Trace's low rye Mash Bill #1 and aged for roughly eight to nine years in new charred American oak.
Named after George T. Stagg, the line was once sold as Stagg Jr. and has been called simply Stagg since Batch 17. It is the more frequently released sibling of the George T. Stagg bottling.
The nose offers caramel, dark chocolate and molasses with black pepper, allspice and toasted oak. The palate is creamy and full bodied, with brown sugar, roasted nuts, vanilla, dark cherry, fig and burnt orange peel. The finish is long and warming.
