Stagg Batch 26A is a barrel proof bourbon from Buffalo Trace, the first Stagg release of 2026. The name honours George T. Stagg, who owned the distillery. It is made from the low rye Mash Bill #1, aged for eight years in new charred white oak and bottled at 129.3 proof (64.65%), uncut and non chill-filtered.
It pours a deep mahogany. The nose brings rich chocolate, brown sugar and deep caramel over a dark, sweet hint of oak. The palate is heavy and full bodied, with dark cherry, caramel and vanilla carried by bold spice. The finish is long and warming, with clove, baking spice, charred oak and lingering cherry smoke.
