A barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 65%. It was released in the winter of 2022, after close to a decade of maturation.
The name honours George T. Stagg, the 19th-century businessman who built the distillery up.
The palate is rich and velvety, with sweet chocolate and deep brown sugar, and bold rye spice adding warmth through the middle. The long finish brings dark cherries, fragrant cloves and a whisper of smoke.
