Fado Vivo 2015 is a Belgian single malt from Stokerij de Molenberg, released for the distillery's second anniversary at 46% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is distilled from the mash of Gouden Carolus Tripel beer.
The whisky spent three years in bourbon casks before a finish in aged Portuguese Tawny Port pipes, which gives it a reddish hue. The release ran to 7,500 bottles.
Ripe plums, red berries and vanilla lead on the nose, followed by dark raisins, tropical fruit and gentle oak spice on the palate.
