Stranahan's Diamond Peak Colorado Whiskey Original Edition (75cl, 47%)

Stranahan's Diamond Peak is the original small batch edition from Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey in Denver, an American single malt made from 100% malted barley. This original edition is bottled at 47% (94 proof) and is non-chill-filtered, in a 75cl bottle. It was drawn only from four-year-old new charred American white oak barrels with a #3 char, chosen by the distiller. The bottle has a black metal cap that doubles as a measuring cup. The current Diamond Peak is a different, cask-finished release at 90 proof. The nose offers dried apricot, leather, black licorice, cedar and rich malt. The palate is smooth and mellow, with dark roast coffee, butterscotch, oak, cayenne and spiced chocolate. The finish is long, rolling and creamy.
