Strathclyde 1987/2022 35 Year Old The Whisky Trail – Knights (70cl, 46%)

This is a 35 year old Lowland single grain from Strathclyde, distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2022 by Elixir Distillers for The Whisky Trail – Knights series. It matured for its whole life in a single Bourbon barrel and was bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, in natural colour and without chill-filtration. The character is built around ripe fruit, vanilla, toffee, citrus and gentle oak spice, with the soft, sweet texture typical of old grain whisky.
