Pedro Ximénez sherry barrique finish
This is a 37 year old single grain whisky from Strathclyde in Glasgow, distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2025 by Murray McDavid as part of its Mission Gold Series. It received a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry barriques that had previously held Islay malt. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, at 44.9% in a 70cl bottle. Sweet, dark fruit from the Pedro Ximénez sherry is described alongside subtle maritime and smoky notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
