A Japanese gin produced by Suntory in Osaka, made with six Japanese botanicals harvested at their seasonal peak: sakura flower, sakura leaf, sencha, gyokuro, sanshō pepper and yuzu peel. Traditional gin botanicals such as juniper, citrus, coriander and cardamom are also used.
Each botanical is often distilled individually before blending. The gin is bottled at 40% ABV and shows cherry blossom, green tea, yuzu and gentle spice.
Tasting Notes
Delicate cherry blossom, light florals, green tea aromas, citrus peel and gentle spice from sanshō pepper.
Medium body, with sakura and yuzu first, then green tea, peppery heat, juniper, citrus and gentle herbal layers.
Clean and dry, with a mild tingle from sanshō pepper and lingering citrus, tea and floral notes.
