This is a 2024 limited edition plum wine from Suntory, made from ripe plums steeped and then kept in old barrels once used to age whisky at the Yamazaki distillery. It is bottled at 16% vol.
The whisky-soaked barrels give a delicate aroma of wood and an intense, complex flavour, with a deep richness and a notable aftertaste. It is made to hold its taste when mixed with soda, and can also be served on the rocks.
