Syndicate 58/6 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky made from 18 single malts and 4 single grain whiskies, in a 70cl bottle. The blend is kept going through a Solera-style system, in which 12-year-old whiskies are married with older stocks, preserving small quantities of the historic Syndicate blend.
Before bottling, the whisky is married and matured for up to two further years in four-year-old Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía, which add dried-fruit richness and mature oak character.
The nose offers orange and citrus with honey, ripe fruit and dried fruit. The palate has creamy caramel and honey, candied citrus, ginger and cinnamon. The finish is medium to lingering, with oak, honey and softly drying spice.
