A Syrah from Sicily with an intense ruby colour. The nose brings ripe dark fruit, blackberry and plum, with black pepper, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate it has body and structure, mature tannins and enough freshness to balance the fullness, with an enveloping sip and good tension. It suits grilled meats, rich stews and aged cheeses, and also handles spicy dishes. Serve at around 16-18 °C.
