This is a 14 year old Tamdhu from Speyside, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022 at 60.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release from independent bottler Cut Your Wolf Loose, who also run a bar in Brighton, and it comes from a single hogshead.
The whisky appears to have matured in a refill sherry hogshead, and the sherry influence runs through the notes.
The nose has chocolate-covered raisins, nuts, biscuits and toffee. The palate brings dried figs, dates and fruitcake, and the finish is full-on sherry.
