Sherry butt
A 30 year old single malt from Tamdhu in Speyside, distilled in 1987 and bottled by Hunter Laing in its Old & Rare range. It comes from a single sherry butt and was bottled at 53.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The butt yielded 533 bottles. The nose is orange marmalade and candied sweetness with a touch of apricot. The palate brings dried fruits, subtle spice and rich, smooth toffee alongside pronounced sherry notes. The finish carries more complex fruit, with a developing sweetness over a hint of honey.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
