This is a limited edition Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, bottled at 60% in a 70cl bottle. Only 1000 bottles were filled.
Tamdhu releases a Dalbeallie Dram each year at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, in honour of the Dalbeallie railway station beside the distillery. Completed in 1899, the station brought Tamdhu's sherry oak casks from Spain to Speyside until it closed in the 1960s. This is the sixth in the series.
The nose offers sticky toffee pudding, toasted almonds, zesty orange peel, stewed plums, cranberries and cinnamon. Vanilla fudge appears on the palate, and the long finish brings soft spice, rich sherry and dried fruits.
