Tamdhu Gran Reserva Batch 1 is a Speyside single malt and the first Gran Reserva edition from the distillery. It was bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle, with 3,240 bottles produced.
The whisky was matured in hand-selected first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, including hogsheads, and is bottled un-chill filtered.
The nose brings rich sherry oak, almond toffee, light citrus and cloves. On the palate there is sherry sweetness and complex oak, with a tingle of zest, spice and soft fruit. The finish is balanced, with cinnamon, vanilla and dark chocolate.
