This is a limited release of Teaninich single malt from Thompson Brothers, distilled in 2013 and aged for 10 years in hogsheads. It then had a 21-month finish in two ex-stout casks. Only 482 bottles were produced, at a cask strength of 50%, in a 70cl bottle.
Teaninich was built in the early 19th century and bought by the blenders Munro & Cameron in 1895. It passed to DCL in 1933 and is now part of Diageo. Most of its single malt appears under independent labels.
On the palate there is waxy pine resin, buttered peaches, roasted malt and marmite.
