This is a 10 year old single malt from Teaninich distillery, near Alness in the Highlands. It is bottled at 43% ABV as part of the Flora & Fauna series.
Teaninich was founded in 1817 by Hugh Munro and is now owned by Diageo. The distillery uses a mash filter in place of a traditional mash tun.
The nose is fresh and citrusy, with orange and lemon and a subtle hint of violets. The palate is light and sweet over a dry undertone, with a pleasant acidity and a touch of salt. The finish is long and dry, with beeswax.
