This is a Teaninich single malt from Duncan Taylor's Octave series, distilled on 6 May 2015 and aged for 11 years. It is a single cask bottled at 54.4% ABV, with 85 bottles filled.
After its main maturation the whisky was finished in a small Oloroso sherry octave, a cask of around 65 litres, which gives the spirit a close relationship with the wood. The distillery is in Alness, in the Northern Highlands.
The nose is typically described as apple and pear with citrus, fine malt and soft vanilla. On the palate come creamy toffee, dark dried fruit and woody spice, and the finish is long and spicy with a touch of fresh citrus.
