This is a 12 year old Teaninich single malt from the Tri Carragh range by Stravaig Spirits, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 16th January 2013 and bottled at 54.6% ABV, in an outturn of 280 bottles.
The whisky was finished in a first fill wine barrique that previously held Cheval Blanc.
The tasting notes describe a fresh, floral nose of unripe fruit, green grapes and white gooseberries. At full strength the palate moves from freshness to savoury lemon cheesecake with light tannins. Water brings out green notes and sliced watermelon, and the medium finish carries smooth tinned fruit.
