A 17 year old Highland single malt from Teaninich, distilled in 1999 and released in 2017 as part of Diageo's annual Special Releases. This limited edition marks the 200th anniversary of the distillery, and is bottled at 55.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky comes from refill American oak hogsheads and sherry butts, all filled in 1999. The nose is fragrant and citrusy, with pears in syrup, lychee, mandarin and lemon sherbet, then cinnamon, nutmeg and toffee apple, turning to vanilla toffee and fudge. The palate is unctuous and sweet, with lemon cake, digestive biscuits and spiced porridge. The finish is lengthy and warming, with spicy oak and white pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
