This Teaninich from the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection matured for 45 years in a refill sherry puncheon. It was distilled on 10 June 1977 and bottled on 8 November 2022. The single cask gave 204 bottles at 63.3%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour, in a natural mahogany shade.
The style is not smoky, with a broad range of fruit, malty sweetness and creamy dessert notes.
The nose brings pineapple, apple and nectarine with sweet barley, custard and berries. The palate is full and intense, with cherries, blackberries, dates and mango, vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries, and a contrast of leather and sticky tobacco. The finish is long, with juicy fruit, malt sweets and vanilla.
