This is a 23 year old Highland single malt from Teaninich, distilled on 7 December 1983 and released in the First Cask Series.
The nose opens with smoke and orange, then turns to beeswax, honey and wood, with dandelion and gooseberry coming through. The palate is very powerful, with honey and longan.
The finish is long, and the whisky shows plenty of complexity without any water.
