Teaninich – 2008 11 Year Old Cask 710888 Berry Bros. & Rudd (70cl)

This Teaninich was distilled in 2008 and drawn from cask 710888 after 11 years of ageing. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it in 2019, and it comes in a 70cl bottle. Teaninich stands near the Cromarty Firth in the North East Highlands and was founded in 1817. The distillery uses a mash filter rather than a conventional mash tun to extract the worts. The nose offers bruised apples and sugar-sprinkled baked pastry. On the palate come cider apples and toasted crumpet, with a dash of honey. It stays full, fruity and malty through to a good long finish.
