This is a single cask Teaninich from the Highlands, distilled in 2009 and selected by independent bottler Duncan Taylor for its The Octave series. It is the UK Exclusive No.5. After 12 years of maturation, the whisky spent its final six months in a second-fill Oloroso sherry octave, a small cask that encourages close contact between spirit and oak. It was bottled in 2022 at 55.4% ABV, and the cask yielded 90 bottles. It is described as combining dried fruits and sherried sweetness with warming spice, polished oak and a robust texture.
