Teaninich 8 Year Old is a Diageo Special Release for 2025, bottled that year at 60.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is a rye whisky, made from malted rye and barley mashed together and distilled in the pot stills of a malt distillery. As there is no category for single malt rye, it is classed as a single grain whisky.
It grew out of a rye experiment from 2016 that used the distillery's mash filter, and it was matured in ex-bourbon barrels. The whisky is described as having a spicy toffee sweetness with deep notes of cinnamon and clove.
