A 10 year old Highland single malt from Teaninich, released by Claxton's in its Exploration Series. It was distilled on 6 July 2015, matured in an STR hogshead and bottled in 2026 at 50%.
STR stands for shaved, toasted and re-charred, a treatment of the cask that deepens the contact between spirit and oak. The result is a firm malty spice and a depth of wood. It is bottled in natural colour and without chill-filtration.
