Teeling 19 Years Old Single Malt Rum Cask Matured (for the Netherlands) (52.2%)

An Irish single malt from Teeling, bottled exclusively for the Dutch market by the importer Bresser & Timmer. It matured for all 19 years in a single rum cask. It was bottled in March 2018 at a cask strength of 52.2%, in a Teeling decanter. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is sweet, with honey-glazed almonds and walnuts, orchard fruit, ripe bananas, hints of jute and cardboard, and fine wood shavings. The palate shows plenty of grapefruit, nectarines and peaches, milk chocolate, white pepper and a good deal of oak. The finish is long and fruity, with subtle spice.
