This is an eight-year-old Finnish single malt from Teerenpeli, bottled for Finnish Whisky Day 2024. It is an official bottling in a 50cl bottle, at a cask strength of 54.9%.
The whisky spent all eight years in a single Moscatel wine cask, so the Moscatel influence runs through its whole maturation rather than coming from a finish. Only 360 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is led by honey and blossom, with grapes and a hint of vanilla. Yellow fruit and soft raisin notes come through on the palate, and the long finish stays fresh and fruity.
