Tenuta Le Colonne Bolgheri Superiore 2021

This is a Bolgheri Superiore from Tenuta Le Colonne, made near Castagneto Carducci in the province of Livorno. Fermentation lasts about 13 days with native yeasts, kept below 28°C. The wine then rests for 24 months in French oak, followed by three months in bottle. It is deep ruby with garnet reflections. The nose is elegant and rich, with blackberry and cherry as jam and in spirit, plus vanilla spice. The palate is full and vigorous, warm and enveloping, with firm but well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and persistent. It suits red meat and mature cheeses.
